NEON Session added to Isoscapes 2008
In collaboration with the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON; www.neoninc.org), we have added an afternoon session at Isoscapes to discuss a range of topics related to the isotopes sampling plan for NEON. The discussion will be held Monday afternoon (April 7th) from 2:00 to 6:00 .
This session is an opportunity for NEON to vet how isotopic measurements in the NEON framework are broadly designed for biogeochemistry and organismal ecology, and to obtain quality input and guidance in refining our measurement strategy from the meeting participants. Specifically, we will update the community on the current status of NEON, on the use of isotopes in the Fundamental Instrument Unit and the Fundamental Sentinel Unit design, and we would like feedback from the community on how best to describe the traceabilty from our scientific objectives to our measurement strategy.
